Toddler Storytime Assistant -- Thursday Mornings
The Mountlake Terrace Library is seeking a volunteer to assist with Toddler Storytime on Thursday mornings.
Tasks include:
- Setting up chairs, books, and toys before the program
- Moving chairs and tables around as needed
- Greeting attendees as they come in
- Counting how many attendees are present
- Engaging with the toddlers and families during playtime
- Cleaning up chairs, books and toys after the program
Time Commitment: Up to 2 hours Thursdays 10am-12pm
Required Skills: Organized, reliable, enjoys working independently. This task involves standing and walking, leaning, reaching, lifting/moving materials weighing up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling tables, and handling books and other materials. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with different abilities.
Required Forms: All volunteers must submit a Volunteer Application through this portal. Volunteers age 18 years and older will be subject to a background check.
