School-age Program Assistant -- Monday Evenings
The Mountlake Terrace Library is seeking a volunteer to assist with Maker Mondays, a STEM based hands-on program for school age children presented in Russian.
Tasks include:
Room set up before the program
Move chairs and tables as needed
Assisting children with projects during the program
Cleaning after the program
Preparing program materials ahead of time
Time Commitment: Three hours twice a month (5-8pm) for at least four weeks (January, 26; February 2, 9, 16).
Required Skills: Organized, reliable, enjoys working independently, and familiar with written English. This task involves standing and walking, leaning, reaching, lifting/moving materials weighing up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling tables, and handling books and other materials. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with different abilities.
Required Forms: All volunteers must submit a Volunteer Application through this portal. Volunteers age 14 years and older will be subject to a background check.
