Vale Short Breaks

We’re looking for volunteers who would like to help the children / young people we work with to take part in trips and activities by driving them to different venues after school and in the school holidays.

Activities will include…

• driving the minibus
• carrying out appropriate checks prior to driving the minibus
• keeping the minibus clean and tidy
• assisting with boarding young people in wheelchairs

We need volunteers who…

• have continuous driving experience for a minimum of 12 months
• have a full car driving licence (cat B), test taken before 1^st January 1997 or cat D1 licence
• are aged 21 or over
• have experience of children / young people.

Our Vale of Glamorgan Short Breaks Project in Barry provides residential short breaks, community outreach services and Domiciliary Care for the most vulnerable disabled children and young people aged from 6 to 18 years in the Vale of Glamorgan.
