London Marathon Cheer Point Volunteer

We need London Marathon Cheer Point Volunteers

As cheerer you will have the best seat in the house, with a front row view of all the action.  Your role is to make as much noise as you can to support our runners on their 26.2-mile run!

The louder and brighter the Cheering Team is the more you will encourage and motivate our runners to continue on regardless of the aches and pains they may be experiencing. Also entering into the spirit of the marathon will ensure that you have a fantastic day.

We’ll provide you with an Action for Children t-shirt, bang bang sticks, clap bangers and pom poms so there’s no doubt you’ll stand out to our runners. As a cheerer, your designated time slot will be some time between 10am-5pm- this is so we have a large and loud presence at any given time!

There are two cheer point location options for you to choose from:

Our first cheer point is at Mile 19, near Canary Wharf station

The second cheer point is at mile 25, near the Victoria Embankment

Mission Statement

By being a fundraising volunteer for Action for Children in the South East, you help us make a real difference to children and their families across the region.

By placing counter collection boxes or helping at an event collection you help us raise awareness and money.

By helping with administration or making Christmas or Action for Children Sunday Calls you help our team stay in touch with our local supporters and discover new ones.

By helping at events you cheer our supporters on to raise even more funds and make our events possible.

Thank You for helping us to do what's right, do what's needed & do what works for children.
