We are Breaking the Cycle.
Breaking the Cycle is a counselling service for children and young people who have lived with domestic abuse. We are based in Newcastle upon Tyne and work across the city. We run one-to-one therapeutic sessions that offer a safe space for children and young people to explore their emotions with an experienced counsellor. these sessions often take place in education settings however we are keen to offer online sessions if clients prefer this.
Our goal is to help children and young people to open up about their experiences and manage their emotions. We support them to make positive changes in their behaviour and help them on their recovery journey. Children and young people are also supported to build strong relationships with family, friends and teaching staff.
Our service is funded by the Big Lottery Community Fund.
