Garden Club at Keilor Library
We are not accepting any more volunteers for Keilor Garden Club for now,
we are at full capacity.
However, The Garden Club meets every 1st Monday of the Month
at 2:00pm -3:30pm at Keilor Library.

Brimbank Libraries is a dynamic public library service in Melbourne’s western suburbs, delivering a range of services and programs to the community to support lifelong learning, literacy and social connection.
About the role
The Garden Library is located at Keilor Library and includes 3 community garden boxes, a Seed Library and a Garden Club which includes volunteers and interested community members.
As a Garden Club volunteer, you will be rostered on a schedule to maintain the community garden boxes. This includes weeding, watering, planting, harvesting, and other duties as required. You will also welcome community members to the Garden library, interact with them about the garden library and direct requests to library staff as required.
All work will take place at the Keilor Library, and in addition to the volunteer work, you will have the opportunity to meet other volunteers, discuss and learn about gardening related issues at our monthly Garden Club.

Are interested in working outdoors, gardening, meeting likeminded people while learning about garden related issues? If so, please apply for a Garden Club volunteer.
You will need:
- To be able to find your own means of transport to and from Keilor Library
- A current Working with children’s check
- Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the role – bending, lifting, being outdoors
- Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the community
