About the role:
As a Volunteer Event Planner, you will be part of a team who are responsible for planning and executing events for Uniting. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our events are successful, engaging, and aligned with the goals and values of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the organisation's staff and other volunteers to develop event plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Identify potential venues and vendors for events and provide recommendations to the organisation's staff.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts with venues and vendors.
- Manage event logistics, including catering, transportation, accommodations, and other details as required.
- Coordinate event volunteers, ensuring that they have the necessary information and resources to carry out their roles effectively.
- Help develop and execute event marketing and communication plans, including social media and email campaigns, to promote events to the organisation's stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and delivery of event-related materials, such as invitations, programs, and signage.
- Work with the organization's staff and other volunteers to ensure that events align with the organisation's goals and values and effectively communicate our mission.
- Provide post-event evaluation and analysis, including feedback from attendees and volunteers, to continuously improve event planning and execution.

- Prior experience in event planning or a related field would be a bonus
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
