Community Orchard

Community Orchard

A community orchard is a collection of fruit trees grown on Council land. The idea is for community to get involved and help look after the orchard and enjoy the fruit that is grown.

The Campbelltown Community Orchard was set up in 2016. Local community members worked in partnership with Campbelltown Council to plant a variety of fruit and nut trees.

It is located through the back of the playground on Reservoir Rd Reserve, Paradise.

Volunteers come together during working bees to look after the trees and the Orchard space.

We have 2 working bee sessions per month:

  • Third Sunday of the month, 10am – 12noon
  • Monday 3.30-5pm (two weeks after a Sunday session)

Some of the activities you can help with include spreading mulch, weeding, fertilizing, netting and pruning trees. It is great for learning from others and sharing food, skills and knowledge.

It is up to you how often you attend, how long you stay and what tasks you undertake.

We encourage you to apply for this Volunteer position by submitting an application today!
