🚌 Community Bus Helper Volunteer Required - fortnightly on Friday mornings (between 8am – 1pm)
Campbelltown City Council is seeking a friendly and reliable Community Bus Helper Volunteer to support our door-to-door Community Bus service fortnightly on Friday mornings (between 8am – 1pm).
Door-to-door Service - Council’s door-to-door service is a free service and runs every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning. This service enables local residents of all ages to access various shopping complexes in the Council area. Together, the Bus Helper volunteer and Bus Driver volunteers help people with their shopping to their front door.
What You'll Do:
As a Community Bus Helper, you will:
- Be available to volunteer fortnightly on Fridays between 8am and 1pm
- Greet passengers and help them find their seats
- Assist passengers on and off the bus safely
- Navigate bus steps multiple times during a shift
- Help load and unload shopping bags in an organised manner
- Carry shopping bags to passengers’ doors if needed
- Lift and secure mobility aids onto the bus when required
- Hold a current DHS Working with Children Clearance (Council can assist with this process)
What We're Looking For:
This role requires good mobility and a moderate level of physical fitness.

- Respectful and sensitive to the needs of others, including people with a disability, seniors, and those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
- Able to represent Council in a professional and respectful manner
- Reliable and punctual
