🚌 Ad-Hoc Community Bus Helper Volunteers Required
Campbelltown City Council is seeking friendly and reliable Ad-Hoc Community Bus Helper Volunteers to support our door-to-door Community Bus service. This casual, on-call role fills in when our regular volunteers are on leave or holidays.
Council’s door-to-door shopping service which runs every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning, and as a volunteer you would be available to fill in on one of these mornings if available between 8am and 1pm.
What You'll Do:
As a Community Bus Helper, you will:
- Volunteer on an ad-hoc (as-needed) basis, depending on your availability
- Greet passengers and help them find their seats
- Assist passengers on and off the bus safely
- Navigate bus steps multiple times during a shift
- Help load and unload shopping bags in an organised manner
- Carry shopping bags to passengers’ doors if needed
- Lift and secure mobility aids onto the bus when required
- Hold a current DHS Working with Children Clearance (Council can assist with this process)
What We're Looking For:
This role requires good mobility and a moderate level of physical fitness.

- Able to represent Council in a professional and respectful manner
