Ageing Well Programs Volunteer
Become an Ageing Well Programs Volunteer!
Are you someone who enjoys spending time with older people and building genuine connections? We’re looking for compassionate, community-minded volunteers to join our Ageing Well team.
This role is about more than helping at activities — it’s about creating welcoming spaces where older people feel valued, included and heard.
We’re looking for people who:
- Enjoy working with and spending time with older people
- Understand barriers to participation such as ageism and social isolation
- Are mindful of respectful, inclusive language
- Are friendly, welcoming and approachable
- Can work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers
- Are flexible and reliable
- Are willing to undertake training as required
- Believe in creating communities where people of all ages belong
- Can obtain a DHS Working with Children clearance (facilitated by Council)
As an Ageing Well Volunteer, you might support events, assist with group activities, help welcome participants, or simply have a chat over a cuppa — often the most important role of all.
If you’re passionate about connection, dignity and inclusion, we’d love to hear from you.
📩 Fill in an application today to express your interest in this role, or contact Julie Tkalec (Volunteer Coordinator) 8366 9235, jtkalec@campbelltown.sa.gov.au
Together, we can help our community age well — with respect, purpose and connection.
