KS Supportive Services for Veterans Families Bache
Provide supportive services using strengths-based case management, Housing First, & Rapid Re-Housing models. Provide assessment, crisis intervention, linkage & referral to community & veteran services to veterans & their families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Conduct outreach in the community in order to identify & screen eligible participants. Establish case plans based on primary goals of housing stability, increased income/financial resources & skills, & self determination. Have the ability & desire to support The Salvation Army's mission. Have excellent verbal & written communication skills, & be organized & detail oriented. Be at least 21 years of age & pass background & criminal records clearance & may not have had any felony convictions. Meet & maintain Salvation Army's driver's qualification standards. have ability to adapt to culturally diverse environment, display attitude of compassion & acceptance of client populations. Applicant must demonstrate good judgment, leadership skills, & discretion in all aspects of information flow, be flexible, exhibit strong team work attitude & interpersonal skills. Good written & verbal communication skills required in Standard English. Computer skills, problem solving & conflict resolution skills required.
