Environmental Education Centre
Environmental Education Volunteer Roles Location: Queens Park Environmental Education Centre Join us as a volunteer at the Queens Park Environmental Education Centre where you can share your passion for the Environment and Ipswich with others. In this role you will greet and interact with visitors to the centre providing information and education on Ipswich's natural environment and helping educate visitors on how they can help care for the environment, both in and out of their home. Play a part in a young person’s life by showing them how they can make a difference, no matter their age. You will also have the opportunity to help design, set up and run displays, help with events and activities in the centre as well as joining in on any events hosted by the environment team such as Sustainable Ipswich, Trees for mum and National Tree Planting Day. A large portion of our visitors to the centre are school groups or families with young children so we require that all volunteers in this role hold a current Working with Children Blue Card before starting. Council can assist you to obtain a blue card if you don't have one. Interested volunteers ideally will be:
Shift times: Volunteer shift times are 9am - 2pm. Available shifts can change so please include your availability when completing your application.
