Bushcare Volunteer - Denmark Hill Conservation Reserve

Meet the first Sunday of every month 8 - 10 am the group is rehabilitating the area behind the nature play playground.

The Denmark Hill group is currently looking for volunteers and growing the community caring for the local reserve. The group held their first working bee early February, 2023. A social event, involving weeding and small amount of plantings. 

The group plans to conduct working bees the first Sunday of the month. To get involved meet at the BBQ and playground area at the end of Quarry St, coming off Outridge and MacAlister St. Group meets at 8 am, here you sign in and are provided with a safety briefing for the day.

How many volunteers are needed? Unlimited, bring your friends!

Pre-Requisites: For the initial volunteer shift you’ll be asked to sign a Unregistered Volunteer form before starting work.  These are available on the day. Those wanting to join as a regular member will need to sign up as a regular volunteer, to do this you'll need to sign up on the Council Volunteer portal follow MyImpactPage - Application Form - Infrastructure and Environment (betterimpact.com) and complete all online induction training and sign the Volunteer Agreement form to be covered by insurance.

Please wear a hat, gloves, long pants and closed in shoes. Remember to bring drinking water and your own snacks. Sunscreen and insect repellant is available. 

Registered volunteers are provided with approved gloves and hats.
