Peace Park Arboretum, Rosewood – run by Native Plants QLD

This is the rare Myoporum montanum (prostrate form) and can be seen growing in several locations near Minden. This specimen grows at Peace Pk.

A sanctuary for rare and endangered plants of the dry vine rainforest in the Rosewood Scrub. This project has been run by Native Plants QLD for over 25 years. Peace Park is located off Matthew St in Rosewood. Come along to a working bee and find out more about the rare and endangered trees this wonderful park preserves. How many volunteers are needed? Unlimited, bring your friends!

Pre-Requisites: For the initial volunteer shift you’ll be asked to sign a Unregistered Volunteer form before starting work.  These are available on the day. Those wanting to join as a regular member will need to sign up as a regular volunteer, to do this you'll need to sign up on the Council Volunteer portal follow MyImpactPage - Application Form - Infrastructure and Environment (betterimpact.com) and complete all online induction training and sign the Volunteer Agreement form to be covered by insurance.

Please wear a hat, long pants and closed in shoes. Remember to bring drinking water and your own snacks. Sunscreen is available.

Working bees take place every first and third Sunday of the month.
Winter hours 9am - 11am, Summer hours 8:30am - 10:30am
