Emergency Room Volunteer
This is a new position that is being introduced to the Didsbury District Health Centre and will be directly involved with helping the health care team that works in the emergency room at the hospital. The volunteer will be part of the health care team that ensure that all patients seen at the hospital receive exceptional care.
The volunteer will assist with stock inventory and ensure that all stations are fully stocked, ensure all PPE supplies have a full compliment. Will assist with bring patients to imaging, run samples to the lab, stock up warmed liquids and blankets and generally work behind the scenes to ensure that the Doctors and nurses have everything that they need to work smoothly. Other duties may also be assigned by medical staff when required.
It is also possible to be requested to assist with meal time in the Acute Care ward when needed. If you are interested in a possible career in the health care field and are looking for some hands on experience this is the perfect opportunity.
