Volunteers are an integral part of the RSPCA Victoria team. They play an active and vital role in helping to support our work to improve the welfare of animals and protect them from cruelty and neglect.

 

This role is to assist the Events and Community Fundraising team with campaigns, event preparation and supporter care. This role will help ensure we can support our community and campaign fundraisers – helping ensure we get the best fundraising results possible.

 

 

This volunteer role will include:

§  Providing support to participants joining our fundraising campaigns by preparing items for posting, calling supporters to thank them, and offering support to the fundraising team where possible

§  Preparing materials for events including packing boxes or moving items

§  Reviewing email inboxes and providing templated responses to emails

§  Writing supporter communications such as thank you correspondence and receipts

§  Responding to supporter enquiries with event and/or fundraising specific information

 

 

 

 

To successfully undertake this role, the volunteer will possess the following skills, attributes and/or experience:

Essential:

§  Comfortable speaking on the phone

§  Comfortable updating spreadsheets

§  Comfortable working within Outlook inboxes

Desirable:

§  RSPCA Volunteer experience

§  Salesforce database experience

 

National Police Check

Screen for animal cruelty offenses

Drivers Licence

Working with Children Check

Medical - proof of tetanus vaccination

Training will be provided on using computer systems and documents. Scripts will be provided for phone conversations. Templates will be provided for written communications.

All necessary information and training will be provided as needed.
