Blair Athol - Donation Sorter, Distribution Centre
Become a Donation Sorter!
Donation Sorter volunteers are what make our Op Shops successful!
With thousands of donations a year, volunteers sort and organise clothing and household items which are distributed to our Op Shops.
The role
Join our small, friendly team and assist with:
• Sort clothing, linen and accessories by folding, hanging and bagging clothing by size and gender
• Sort household goods, sporting goods, dinnerware and Bric-a-Brac, books, music, puzzles and other various items
• Box seasonal garments for storage and repurpose unusable donations.
We have multiple shifts available Monday to Friday at our Distribution Centre in Blair Athol.
Volunteering with Lutheran Care requires a Working with Children Check. WWCCs are free for volunteers.
The benefit
Established to serve a dual purpose, our Op Shops exist to provide affordable clothing to those in need in our communities and they also provide a vital revenue stream to LC’s community service programs through the sale of quality recycled clothing, books, bric-a-brac and household goods.
By volunteering in our shops you have the opportunity to make new friends and have fun whilst you work, as well as playing a key role in our mission to build strong, caring communities.
