Ready for a fulfilling adventure in your free time? Join us at Lutheran Care's Family Zone in Ingle Farm!
Family Zone, located at Ingle Farm Primary School, is a hub for family support programs.
Our neurodiversity group provides an inclusive, safe space for families to enjoy a light meal and engaging activities.
We meet on alternate Fridays from 4:00pm – 6:00pm during the school term.
As a volunteer, you'll bring a warm, welcoming attitude and a dedication to our mission of creating an inclusive, accessible, and safe environment for diverse and vulnerable families. Your passion for breaking down inclusion barriers is key.
Your role might include:
• Welcoming families to the center
• Providing refreshments and supporting mealtime routines
• Helping set up and pack down planned activities, including the sensory space
• Engaging with children and parents in planned activities as needed
• Extending a helping hand and a listening ear to families
At Family Zone, we're all about embracing unique sensory needs and experiences. Most importantly, we celebrate and value all neurotypes, recognizing each person as the expert in their own lives and world – including our amazing staff and volunteers.
We'll support you in developing your knowledge and skills under the careful guidance of our Family Zone staff.
We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including those with lived experience, as well as students seeking practical experience.
Lutheran Care, a homegrown South Australian charity with over 50 years of community-building experience, is the perfect place to make a lasting impact.
