Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area
Silverwood Lake SRA has a small volunteer program with ever-growing opportunities. They have the opportunity to help with special events and programs throughout the year. Special events can range from Apple Fest Days in October, where volunteers talk about and demonstrate the area’s farming days, to assisting with Earth Day Clean-ups in April. Our programs include Bald Eagle Tours, school tours, Junior Ranger programs, and Campfire programs. There are also opportunities to help with natural resource management, maintenance, or the visitor center. In addition, we use Camp Hosts to help with our busy 136-site campground. New ideas for volunteer activities are always encouraged so we can enrich our visitors’ park experience!
