Research Assistant
For as much attention as it gets, little is understood about the exact needs of the poppy. Volunteers, who are not officially trained in scientific research, conduct surveys of the park vegetation on a regular basis to provide data that may help to determine the needs of the poppy and the status of the reserve’s habitat. You are welcome to assist a researcher, or join their program to provide more information. Volunteers must be able to hike, kneel for periods of time and come in all weather types.
