Camp Host
A Host is an individual or couple who reside in a recreational vehicle or trailer in a campground or designated park location on a limited term assignment and provide basic operational services and information to visitors
Hosts work under a service agreement and duty statement and must receive orientation and training to perform their duties.
Host assignments are temporary and not meant to provide semi-permanent homes for individuals or couples in state parks. Hosts may serve a maximum or 6 months annually in any single park unit.
Pismo State Beach has two campgrounds: North Beach Campground and Oceano Campground (not Oceano Dunes).
North Beach Campground has two camp host sites. One host site is active year round; Hosts serve from Oct 1-Mar 30 and April 1st-Sept 30; the other host position serves from Memorial Day-Labor Day.
The second campground at Pismo State Beach is Oceano Campground. Oceano Campground has a host from Oct 1-Mar 30th and April 1st-Sept 30th.
