Empire Mine State Historic Park

Living History

Volunteers may wear accurate reproductions of period clothing worn by the Bourns, their guests, and mine workers while leading/following tours or during special events. Clothing items and training is provided by the park program coordinators.

Future plans include Living History volunteers staged in the mine yard to tell visitors about specific equipment and the miner's lives, and "first person" Living History programs portraying the Bourns, Starrs, and their guests in the Cottage and Clubhouse.
