Fort Tejon SHP Interpretive Docent
Fort Tejon SHP has opportunities for interpretation including: giving talks, special activities, outreach, staffing school field trips, community programs, etc. Volunteers may be asked to dress in period appropriate clothes (provided) or handle historic replicas.
Tours may be for the general public or specific groups such as school classes or senior groups.
The volunteer must exhibit good communication skills; respect for cultural diversity; willingness to learn and provide accurate information; ability to follow instructions; openness to constructive criticism; punctuality; reliability; and ability to work cooperatively and courteously with the public, other volunteers, and park staff.
