Visitor Services
Visitor Services Volunteers aid park staff in welcoming visitors to the museums, recommend points of interest, and advertise activities happening within the park. Visitor Services Volunteers also help staff the Boosters of Old Town Park Store by engaging with visitors in the Robinson-Rose Visitor Center, completing transaction, restocking, and providing excellent customer service.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
Park Host
Dressed in visitor services attire, park host volunteers roam to active parts of the park and serve as an additional information resource for the park operations. Park hosts will be familiar with daily museum operations, volunteer schedules, upcoming events, and points of interest in the surrounding area
Boot Store
In addition to being informed about the park’s corresponding association Boosters of Old Town (B.O.O.T.), Store Volunteers will be trusted with the responsibility of facilitating cash and credit card sale transactions. Wearing visitor service attire, these volunteers will also monitor the store merchandise, aid in Boot kiosk stations, be familiar with park's operations and museum locations, and able to direct park visitors to activities and available facilities in the park.
