Visitor Services

Visitor Services Volunteers aid park staff in welcoming and orienting visitors to the Robinson-Rose Visitor Information Center, recommend points of interest, and public program happening within the park. Visitor service volunteers are not required to wear period attire.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
Park Host
Park host volunteers roam the active parts of the park to provide visitors additional information about park resources and operations. Park hosts receive program specific training and are provided current information on museum schedules, living history demonstrations, upcoming events, and public programs offered each week.
BOOT Store
The Boosters of Old Town (B.O.O.T.) is the nonprofit cooperative association for Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. BOOT store volunteers are trusted with the responsibility of facilitating cash and credit card sale transactions that take place in the Robinson-Rose Visitor Service Center. Store volunteers primarily engage with visitors in the Robinson-Rose Visitor Information Center, complete transaction, restocking, and providing excellent customer service.
