California Citrus State Historic Park
At California Citrus State Historic Park our focus is on the historic and widespread citrus groves and fruit that used to be so plentiful in Riverside. Our volunteers lead guided tours around our varietal collection and offer guests information about the origin of citrus and why it became popular in Riverside. During these guided tours is the only time visitors have the opportunity to pick their own fruit fresh from the trees when fruit is available. Volunteers also take part in special events throughout the year, including our annual Citrus Tasting Festival. Volunteers also have the opportunity to educate the public on the history of citrus in the park’s visitor center.
