Montane Sector Parks

Located in northeast San Diego County, the park has 31 campsites and features spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.  Hiking, picnicking, and fishing for trout in Doane Pond are popular activities throughout the park's 1,897 acres of coniferous forests. The world famous Palomar Observatory is located 8 miles east of the park.

Camp Host positions require a minimum of 20 hours per week.  Duties include visitor assistance, campground checks and light housekeeping. Minimum stay is 3 months; maximum stay is 6 months.
