Bidwell Mansion SHP Interpretation volunteer
The Volunteer Docent is a position at Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park, working under the supervision of the State Park Interpreter III, and directed on the job by the unit State Park Interpreter I or seasonal staff. The reporting location is Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park in Chico. The primary duties associated with this volunteer position include set-up, presentation, and clean-up of interpretive programs. Presenting tours of the mansion, monitoring the visitor center store, assisting the curator I with artifact handling and preservation, and working on special research projects relating to Bidwell and Chico history. When available, the volunteer will help with special events, educational programs and other duties as assigned.
