Special Event Volunteer Program
Throughout the year the park puts on unique special events that require more helping hands than the regular Columbia Docent program can provide. This is where our Special Event Volunteers come to the rescue.
The Special Event Volunteer program is specifically designed for those that are unable to commit to the larger Columbia Docent program and perhaps prefer to stick with supporting just the special events. This is especially catered for those that prefer to only volunteer at the Diggins 1852 Special Event.
Special Event Volunteer Requirements:
- Volunteer at least 20 hours for special events during the calendar year.
Hours may include participation during special events as well as required meetings and trainings leading up to the events.
Special Events in Columbia State Historic Park
- Diggins 1852 (May)
- Back to School (Sept)
- Boo Blvd (Oct)
- Official Participation in local Parades
- Stories in Stone (Sept/Oct)
- Lamplight (Dec)
