(Available April through October, 6 months maximum stay) One Park Host position available for an active and friendly individual or couple at beautiful Tomales Bay State Park located next to the Point Reyes National Seashore. Prior Camp Host experience preferred. This volunteer position assists with various aspects of park operations, including maintenance and visitor services work. The park host responds to visitor inquiries, assists with cleaning restrooms when needed, opens & closes gates, assists with park interpretive programs, and does light maintenance and litter pickup. RV site (35 foot max) with hookups provided. This is a remote location so cell coverage and/or internet access may be limited. We are therefore looking for people who want to be outdoors and not regularly "plugged in" to their electronic devices. Although hosts with dogs are permitted, keep in mind that dogs are not allowed on any trails or beaches in this park. If you have a dog that needs lots of room to exercise or run free this may not be the best host position for your pet.
