Pollinator Survey

Perform surveys to monitor pollinator abundance by walking along survey transects at Manchester State Park. Record identified pollinator sightings on ArcGIS Survey123 smartphone app.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to hike up to three miles off-trail
  • Knowledge of how to identify local pollinator species
  • Access to a pair of binoculars to use while performing surveys
  • Attention to detail while recording data

Time Commitment:

            At least two surveys per month in June, July, and August

Training:

            Two training sessions will take place in late June. The first will be an hour-long training about the biology of pollinator species and the project. The second will be a day in the field, walking transects and entering data.
