Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Volunteer
Red Rock Canyon has opportunities for interpretation including: leading hikes, giving talks, visitor center tours, public contact, managing activities, staffing booths, outreach, staffing school field trips, community programs, etc.
Tours may be for the general public or specific groups such as school classes or senior groups.
The volunteer must exhibit good communication skills; respect for cultural diversity; willingness to learn and provide accurate information; ability to follow instructions; openness to constructive criticism; punctuality; reliability; and ability to work cooperatively and courteously with the public, other volunteers, and park staff.
For those who choose to conduct tours: standing and walking on a variety of ground surfaces in variable weather conditions is necessary.
