Gold Panning
Roll up your sleeves, and dive into Gold Rush history! Teach our visitors how the early miners panned for gold in the Sierra foothills. Inspire Gold Fever in the young and old alike, and with a little patience, they may find that elusive glimmer in their very own pan.
Gold panning demonstrations are scheduled every Saturday and Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Occasionally, gold panning demonstrations are also scheduled for school groups, typically in the Spring.
