California State Parks - Orange Coast District

Visitor Center Volunteer

San Clemente State Beach and Doheny State Beach are currently accepting new volunteers applications.

Who: Open to adults who enjoy communicating with members of the public.

What: Our welcoming and tidy visitor centers give park goers the opportunity to learn more about our parks.  Volunteers provide information and interpretation to the public regarding natural and human history, education programs, recreation opportunities, and rules and regulations at each of the parks.  Some parks also offer retail sales of California State Parks merchandise and associated items.  Shift times vary from two to eight hours a day, depending on the park.

Where: Crystal Cove State Park, Doheny State Beach, San Clemente State Beach, San Onofre State Beach.

When: This is a year-round position but each visitor center may have different hours depending on the season.

How: Visit our Orange Coast District Volunteer Portal on Better Impact for more information about the Orange Coast District.  Then, email vol.orangecoast@parks.ca.gov to get started.  Please include the state park you wish to volunteer at. We occasionally post about opportunities on our social media so follow us for any updates on Visitor Center Volunteers!
