Gardening - a pair of volunteers

The Cancer Society’s Lions Lodge is seeking a pair of gardeners to undertake gardening duties.
If you are you a person or a pair with a passion for gardening, over a time frame that suits you and us, with both green-fingers and a little time on your hands, we would sincerely appreciate you volunteering with us.
The Lodge is a ‘home away from home’ for people with cancer who are receiving treatment at Waikato Hospital. This volunteer role will help enhance the environment, both indoors and outdoors, by maintaining the existing gardens and undertaking manageable gardening jobs around the building. This may include:
- Weeding gardens and pruning ornamental sized trees, shrubs and ferns
- Feeding fruit tree's
- Maintaining outdoor furniture
- Possible development of any area's identified into gardens
Lawn mowing is not included.
As a volunteer with us, you will be part of a much-valued and supported team. You will also experience firsthand the work of the Cancer Society in the Waikato and feel satisfied that you are making a valuable contribution to the community.
Without the support of volunteers, Cancer Society services like the Lodge would not be able to operate.
Hours
