Maintenance Volunteer
The Cancer Society’s Lions Lodge is seeking a handyperson to help with small and occasional maintenance jobs.
The Lodge is a ‘home away from home’ for people with cancer who are receiving treatment at Waikato Hospital. This volunteer role will help our guests feel comfortable during their stay by carrying out general maintenance jobs around the building. This may include:
- Changing lightbulbs
- Maintaining outdoor furniture
- Swapping air conditioning filters
- Small paint jobs
- Tidying up the patio area
This is a maintenance rather than a cleaning role.
As a volunteer with us, you will be part of a much-valued and supported team. You will also experience firsthand the work of the Cancer Society in the Waikato and feel satisfied that you are making a valuable contribution to the community.
Without the support of volunteers, Cancer Society services like the Lodge would not be able to operate.
Hours
Flexible hours once a week, or fortnight or month, any day between Monday and Friday.
