Experience how art-making and group projects build vibrant communities. Our goal is to empower youth to relax, express their creativity, and connect more deeply with the people and places where they live.

Upcoming Projects

Oct 24 - Diwali Dance Workshop: we will once again be celebrating the festival of light with another bhangra dance workshop.

Fall 2019 - Youth Art Show: we will be participating in Semiahmoo Arts' Youth Show. Come to our framing workshop to prepare your submission and then hop on the bus to the event opening.

Fall 2019 - Teen Art Drop-In: we will be creating the design for the next Fabric Mural. This is a project that recycles street banners to create a large-scale installation in Tom Binnie Park. Pending approval, we will fabricate and install the artwork during Spring Break 2020.

Fall 2019 - Creative Skill Share: develop leadership skills and plan the Holiday Art Jam.

Dec 13 - Youth Holiday Art Jam: we are planning an Art Jam to celebrate the end of the year. This event can be best described as an art potluck, where youth plan different art activities and then bring them together for a feast of creativity.

Program Dates

  • Generally drop-in’s and workshops happen on Wednesday's after school

    • Wednesdays, 4:00-6:00pm

    • 2-3 events per month
    • Most often at City Centre Library in Rm 120

Volunteer Criteria

  • Ability to work in teams, respecting different opinions, contributing your ideas

  • Willingness to try new things

  • Ability to commit to the time required

  • Past experience leading events is an asset
