Bingo Volunteer
The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society partners with local Bingo Halls to help fundraise for the organization. For every shift you complete, a donation is made to the animals. This position helps with revenue generation to support the animals in our care. Although it does not directly involve working with the animals, it is crucial for continuing our life-saving work, as we rely on donations as a registered charity.
The bingo program raises around $200,000 annually, and the funds raised directly support the animals in our care.
As a Gaming Centre Volunteer (bingo), you would need to complete online training and shadow an experienced volunteer, and then you could help. Your duties would include greeting and thanking customers, answering questions, light cleaning, and promoting how gaming helps our furry friends at the Ontario SPCA.
As a Bingo volunteer, some of your tasks will be to:

Welcome guests as they arrive and thank guests as they depart

Provide information on games, programs, and promotions, answer questions etc.

Circulate the facility – chat with customers when appropriate

If requested by the operator – assist with promotions – e.g. handing out ballots, prizes

Answer questions or direct them to employees if answer is not known

Assist with keeping the gaming centre tidy
Volunteers will need to be able to get back and forth to the Bingo Hall, comfortable on their feet for a few hours, and able to commit to 1 shift per month.
