Queensland Multicultural Centre (QMC) located in Kangaroo Point Qld (home of BeMac) is a facility which was established to promote unity in our society and a sense of belonging for all.

With a large range of spaces available to suit both community and corporate needs, QMC welcomes the opportunity for people to celebrate and share their diversity through performance and arts.

About BeMac

BEMAC supports artists and different art forms beyond just events. BeMac expand the artistic landscape by building bridges across cultural traditions, creating platforms for diverse voices, and nurturing and innovating the potential that emerges from artists by connecting across boundaries.

The role of Volunteer Usher is responsible for providing front-of-house service during events, ensuring all visitors have a positive and safe experience.

Duties

• Welcome guests warmly and direct them to appropriate areas and assist guests in safely exiting the venue
• Help guests with mobility issues or special needs find appropriate seating
• Distribute programs or other materials when required
• Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and evacuation routes specific to the venue and assist in emergency situations by guiding guests to exits and following established safety protocols
• Actively support SSI Group’s vision and values

We request availability from 6pm to 9pm, 1-2 times a fortnight.
