Program Assistant
Work with Library staff and instructors to support participants in library programs and help create an exceptional learning experience. Our programs are offered to infants and their parents, preschoolers, school aged children and teens. The programs combine fun and learning in a wide range of topics including creative writing, public speaking, leadership and lots more! We have lots of program across all of our branches that require Program Assistants.
If you are interested to volunteer as a Program Assistant volunteer, make sure to indicate it as an "General Interest" under "My profile" (log-in first). You are required to sign-up and attend an interview, you will be interviewed according to the position(s) that interest you. Successful candidates need to complete the online General Orientation Workshop and provide a recent Police Check (VSC) as outlined at www.markham.ca/volunteering. Once you meet the minimum requirements (interview, General Orientation Workshop and VSC) you will be able to see and schedule yourself for the opportunities we are offering.
