Program Assistant
The Culture department offers a range of program opportunities designed to support learning through fun and creative activities the Flato Markham Theatre, Markham Museum, and Varley Art Gallery.Programs are run by staff or qualified instructors who are experienced in creating exceptional learning programs for all ages. Program Assistant volunteers work under the direction of these instructors to support participants and help create a welcoming and exciting learning experience.
New volunteers are required to attend an interview. Successful candidates need to complete the online General Orientation Workshop and provide a recent Police Check (VSC) as outlined at www.markham.ca/volunteering under "Become a Volunteer." Once you meet the 3 minimum requirements (interview, General Orientation Workshop and VSC), you will be able to sign-up for the opportunities we offer.
