Event Assistant

The Culture department is the host to many events at the Flato Markham Theatre, Markham Museum, and Varley Art Gallery. We also attend numerous community festivals and events throughout the year. You will help organize and monitor event specific activities, discuss promotional materials, and support staff. Be part of the Event Assistant team to support outreach and community engagement initiatives.

New volunteers are required to attend an interview. Successful candidates need to complete the online General Orientation Workshop and provide a recent Police Check (VSC) as outlined at www.markham.ca/volunteering under "Become a Volunteer." Once you meet the 3 minimum requirements (interview, General Orientation Workshop and VSC), you will be able to sign-up for the opportunities we offer.
