Social Media and Communications Intern or Volunteer
The Social Media and Communications Volunteer/Intern assists with and coordinates social media as well as a variety of communications and marketing tasks for the City of Sacramento Volunteer Program. This position will offer a volunteer/student the opportunity to experience city government while working on a variety of topics that directly impact the community and a chance to use their marketing and communications skills. Flexible work schedule, 8-12 hours per week during regular business hours. Some additional weekend availability preferred.
Knowledge of and experience using social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
Graphic design skills - knowledge of Canva helpful.
Concise and creative writing skills
Ability to multi-task and self-motivate
Strong communications skills
Microsoft Office Suite
Communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience/coursework
Some photography and video experience is a plus.
