Volunteer Gardener

Location:  Rownhams, Southampton, Hampshire 

Are you a green fingered gardener?  Would you like to help create lovely spaces in a large garden?

We are looking for a keen gardener to volunteer alongside the people we support to manage our garden, learn a range of gardening skills and develop a love for gardening!

Activities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining a very large garden to make it an enjoyable space for everyone to enjoy
  • Helping the people we support to take part in gardening activities and learning new skills
  • Building friendships with the people we support and encouraging involvement \d in the garden environment.
  • Helping with ideas for adaptations to make the garden easily accessible for all


We're looking for someone who:

  • Has good gardening skills and knowledge
  • Friendly and a good listener
  • Reliable/dependable
  • Comfortable chatting with people with learning disabilities and autism
  • Willing to commit to volunteer regularly


A DBS check and two character references will be required.
