Volunteer Football Buddy

Location:  Woodley

Are you fan of Reading FC?  Do you love to watch them play?

A gentleman we support in Woodley is a football fanatic and he is looking for a fellow Reading fan to share his love of football and go to matches with!  

You will travel to games together, either by car (if you are a driver) or by bus. Travel and ticket costs will be covered. 

If you would like to share your time and make a new friend along the way, we would love to hear from you!

Activities will include:

  • Enjoying Reading FC football matches together
  • Travelling with your buddy between his home and the matches (either by driving or taking the bus) 
  • Building a friendship with your buddy and sharing a love of football
  • Helping your buddy to make purchases while out for the day
  • Activities will NOT include: Personal care, medication

 

We are looking for a volunteer who is:

  • Passionate about football
  • Calm, friendly, and sociable
  • Reliable/dependable
  • Comfortable chatting with people with learning disabilities and autism
  • Available on match days and willing to commit to volunteer regularly

 

A DBS check, ID and two character references will be required for all roles.
