Volunteer Pet Buddy
Location: Burghfield, near Reading, Berkshire, England
Do you have a calm and friendly dog (other pets also welcome!)
Would you and your pet like to make new friends?
We are looking for a friendly animal owner in Reading who would like to share their time with our animal loving people we support.
Activities will include:
- Visiting the people we support at their house in Burghfield and bringing along your pet
- Chatting with the people we support and being a friendly buddy
- Pet cuddles!
- Providing friendship and fun
Activities will NOT include: Personal care, medication or financial assistance
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A pet owner with a calm but loveable dog (or other animal that can be suitable)
- Friendly, reliable and a good listener
- Comfortable chatting with people with learning disabilities and autism
- Willing to commit to volunteer on a regular basis (exact times and days can be discussed)
A DBS check and two character references will be required for this role.
