Group Support Volunteer
About the Role
As a Group Support Volunteer you will be working alongside our Group Facilitators to help our clients engage with and participate in a variety of recovery based groups and activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to volunteer alongside our Recovery team to make a real difference in people’s lives and gain experience in Group facilitation and knowledge of the substance misuse field.
As part of the team you will provide support to our clients, helping them work towards their goals to cut down their drug or alcohol use. Volunteers may work in a range of group based settings with clients, helping them to take a holistic approach to their recovery journey.
Location and Time Commitment
- ROADS, Carnson House, Rotherham
- Flexible hours within 9-5, Monday to Friday
Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Support in the delivery of group-based sessions as a co-facilitator with an opportunity to develop your facilitation skills to be able to lead group sessions.

Actively promote and be part of developing recovery activities and events

Recording group attendees and liaising with Recovery Workers in supporting the individual needs of the group attendees.
