Clinical Support Volunteer
About the role
As a Clinical Support Volunteer, you will be working alongside our Nurses, Clinicians and Clinical Lead to encourage clients to maintain their medication or prescriptions, support with health screenings and offer advice around harm reduction.
Clinical Support Volunteer’s play a crucial role in helping to ensure our clients have a better understanding of their health and the risks associated with using substances.
Location and Time Commitment
- Role is available in our Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Oswestry services
- 3-4 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Attending health appointments with clients and working with their Recovery Worker to advocate on their behalf for Detox or Residential Rehab placements.

Assisting with Dry Blood Spot Testing and if applicable, treatment for BBV’s

Assisting with Urine Testing

Offering Harm Reduction advice and supporting people with safer use such as the Needle Exchange.

To be actively involved in Drive Days/Health Events and Promote the services offered.
