Maintenance Worker

We are needing Maintenance workers volunteers to assist full time staff in a wide range of both heavy and light weight park maintenance activities. Duties include but are not limited to: installation and maintenance of water & sewer lines, semi-skilled electrical , repairs to machinery, internal combustion engines and HVAC systems, cleaning pit latrines, restrooms, shower houses and picnic areas, operating riding mowers, chain saws, and similar mechanical equipment.  Perform semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and other facilities.  Other duties include meet the public and give information concerning park facilities rules and regulations.

About Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site

Nathan Boone, the youngest son of famed frontiersman Daniel Boone, was a genuine Missouri icon – a hunter, soldier, surveyor and businessman. His last home, preserved at Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site, is now a place to travel back to the 1830s. Come explore his home and the cemeteries associated with it and learn more about one of the families that defined early Missouri.
