No Interest Loan (NILS) Volunteer
NILs (No Interest Loan Scheme) is an important part of the range of services we provide. NILs allows access to affordable credit for people who may have a poor credit history, are on a low income or are at risk of using high-fee Buy Now Pay Later or Payday Loans for things they need. NILs helps to build a good credit rating, avoids the debt cycle people are often unwittingly caught in with high fee and interest loans, and allows access to essential things such as whitegoods, education and health costs, and other costs such as car rego. Our NILs volunteers assist clients to apply for NILs loans, making sure all the paperwork is correct and using the online system to submit the application.

Established in 1980 Southern Peninsula Community Support (SPCS) has grown into a trusted and vital service for the local community. SPCS provides Emergency Relief and crisis support to people in our community who are struggling with financial hardship and/or a wide range of challenges such as mental illness, family violence and homelessness. SPCS operates as a drop-in service with an open, non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
